update to lost keys
Hi,
UPDATE!!!!
I'm reluctant to go to stealers. But I have done a bit of research and have found out the following:
1. Luckily i left the doors open so If I can get the door lock out & to a locksmith I can get a laser key cut. Does anyone know how to remove door handle/lock. I've replaced the window cable before so am familiar with removing the door card etc.
2. Ive bought some 2nd hand keys wit the same code (ending 0231A) Im told that these can be programmed to my car, how do I do this ?
3. Then the key/s need adapting or reprogrammed to the car. For this I now have VAGCOM but need the immobiliser pin. I don't want to go to the dealer but was wondering if anyone knows how I can get the PIN. VAGCOM will not retrieve this is I'm led to believe.

I used a program called "VAG EEPROM Programmer" to get my PIN from the cluster, should be able to find a download with a Google search.
VAG Commander will work too, seems to be a bit flaky at times though.

The cluster is the immobilizer, though some cars it is a separate module... Not the 02 a6 though.
Its easy, just connect with a KKL cable, read the eeprom from the cluster, the program will tell you right in the window.
