Audi a6 c5 1.8T 20v Big problem
Hi
First, sorry for my bad english, but I will try to do my best to explain what problem with my car
So its 1.8t 20v 150 PS, I got if for last 7 months, with no problem....
So lets start...
First problem was that like 3 month ago I started to smell some burned oil in my cabin , but only when car is standing, when i drive, there is no any smell...
I suspect its valve cover gasket, and my mechanical believed that too..
So 2 weeks ago, he changed it....
And then when I was testing car, after lets say 5 mins of driving, OIL PRESSUER light was on .. WTF.. I stopped.. and then again strong burn oil smell in my car... !!! So it wasnt valve cover gasket..
But ok, I started car again,, nothing, all ok,, drive it, then after few mins, again Oil pressuer light...
And i read about it on internet... And i guessed there was problem with some sludge in pan, and oil pickup was blocked.... Ok...
Today my mechanical removed the pan and ... it was all clean, no sludge at all, pickup tube was clean......
weir?
he put new oil and filter....
Started car, testing,, and again.... oil pressure light was on.......
And weird after that on idle, car have some clicking noise ... that never happen before....
So... if its oil screen clean... new oil, filter... what is this now?
I dont get it, it was all ok before changing valve cover gasket, ....and after that all that problems..........
What do you think there is a problem??? mechanical think or oil pump, or there is something that is not getting oil, but what?
Btw just to tell
when i bought car (7 month ago), when i drove on highway (120-140kmh) after 60-90 mins of driving OIL PRESSURE light was on... Every time.. Then i didnt know what is that... So i drive it ( 1400 km ) like that, i had no choice, .. I stopped every time, turn it off, and then was all ok... for another 90 mins...
But then i tested it with slower driving , 100 kmh, and that way was all ok, .no oil pressure light...... after that i changed oil and filter, and 6 month with no any problem... was all ok..
and now this..
please help me if u have any clue

Need to use VAG/COM device of some type to retrieve malfunction codes. Could be something as simple as a sensor causing the warning lights. Hard to say about the smell. Most likely oil dripping on the exhaust somewhere. Cam seals maybe? The reason you smell it when stopped but not while driving indicates that the air flow when moving is blowing the oil away from the exhaust.

If the engine is knocking then something more serious such as failed oil pump. The VAG/COM readout would tell you if the oil pressure is actually low and may give other information to help find the problem.

hej there.. me again
so i guess it was fixed,. was all good in city, but yestarday i went for longer ride, for 50 mins, and after 30 mins of driving,, OIL light again.. ****
So when oil gets warm to 100c, then is a problem...
before my oil temp was 80 c, but now 100.. why is that?

Replace OIL PRESSURE SENSOR and see if the problem goes away.
For oil temp:
check level after engine off for 10 mins and on level ground.
check Coolant level and function (i.e radiator fan turning on).
