AUDI REPORTS JULY SALES RESULTS - AUDI AG RELEASES FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR FIRST HALF 2004
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. •• Audi of America, Inc. reported July sales of 7,190, representing a 2.4 % increase when compared to July 2004 sales of 7,021.
Sales of Audi‼sup>TM</sup>s newest offering, the Audi A3, with 763 are up over 35 percent over last month. The A3, introduced only in May, represents Audis 5th model line, together with A4, A6, A8 and the TT sports car.
The Audi A4/S4 sedan, Avant and Cabriolet model line performed exceptionally well with 3,360 units sold, up 19 percent over last year.
Year-to-date Audi of America sales of 44,891 are only slightly below last year‼sup>TM</sup>s figure of 44,991 and reflect an increase in market share in the sector for premium brand import cars.
<b>But, July A6 sales are down 22.8% YTD A6 sales are still up 11%. TT sales are DOWN 44%, ouch! </b>
