Default Cassette-Headphone Jack.

My Audi has the BOSE symphony and it is amazing. But when I hook my phone into the casstte player it sounds like complete ****... I've adjusted all the EQ and volumes nothing works. My phone is an HTC one. So I'm sure the beats garbage has some effect on this but even when I turn beats off its sounds like garbage. Any ideas to fix this? Do NOT want aftermarket stereo because it won't look nice in the dash like the sympony does. Is there a way to add an AUX? Or something? Or does this car have one that I am completely blind to? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I need my toons since all the good radio stations are dead.

You have to get an iPod integration kit or something similar if you want to have an auxiliary input for audio devices. I know what face you're making right now, as i made the same one when i was told this. You want to discard my statement as ramblings of a guy who is insane and lying but brother, that Billy Idol album on your phone will never make it to the Bose without some sweet electrical rigging that you can do yourself. There are several kits out there. 199 bucks or less. Search and shop around, and for god's (and Billy Idols) sake, quit playing music through the cassette player. Unless you are playing the latest Billy Idol cassette on repeat, you know………...to ward off gangsters and hooligans and get that street "cred" you deserve.

I know people who are electritions I'll use em to make it work. But I'll have to find an android kit. I haven't bought an Apple product since the first gen iPod touch.

I used this in my wife's 2000 A6 to add an RCA aux (make sure to throw in an RCA to 3.5mm cable too), works really great: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121275135077 (Blitzsafe AUDI/AUX DMX V.1B Aux RCA Audio Input Adapter) but it's important to know that it REPLACES the input for the 6xCD changer in the trunk (if you have one). Since the Symphony radio comes with a CD player in the head unit (unlike the Concert in my '99), I don't think it's a huge loss.

It's a little tight behind the radio, but it'll fit back there with enough playing around (mine sits below the radio). Eventually I want to take the RCA input and add a bluetooth adapter to get rid of the cable that i fed down into the passenger footwell. I just don't have a good solution on getting 5v (your typically bluetooth adapter) to the back of the radio, if you have any idea let me know! Also, make sure to pick up some nice radio removal tools: http://www.ebay.com/itm/321053244519 these saved my fingers when compared to the flimsy little pure-metal ones.
