Central Locking Issue
Hey Guys, I posted here a couple months ago outlining the issues I was having with my A6 relating to the locking system.
Essentially, when I press the lock button it locks everything then unlocks, the dome light comes on (and stays on) and then the button stops functioning until I turn the car off then on.
Now, as recommended in the thread earlier this year I purchased a new actuator, Part# 4B1837015H and after a couple hours got it installed. Unfortunately it didn't do a thing, same symptoms, same issue. Now I'm stumped. Someone mentioned a microswitch last time?
Anyways, any help is appreciated. Anything to get this working cause as of now I guess I just have a brand new actuator LOL.
Thanks in advance.

Have. You. Pulled. Codes?
Otherwise you're just throwing parts at it.
But if I had to guess I'd say it was the central locking module or whatever it's called. If the code call for it to be replaced, just get the p/n and google a used one. eBay is a good source; I replaced the driver's seat memory module with a used one several years ago and it works fine.

No, no codes. I have a cheap OBDII bluetooth plug in that pulls codes for me and nothing.
Heres the previous thread if it helps with what I did and why I did it.

Besides the 1 codes I have for combi valve issues, theres nothing else lol.

Basically when I press the interior lock/unlock button it locks then unlocks all the doors and the dome light stays on and it stops working. Thats it. Actuator replaced and its still an issue, maybe its the switch?
Gonna try to look for codes tomorrow though.

I only have it on one side but it's the button on the driver door. Weirdest part is that it works locks/unlocks when the key is out but the moment i put the key in and turn it does the weird lock/unlock then stops working..

Normally a new actuator will fix, since the microswitch is part of the actuator assembly. I would check the wiring harness from actuator through rubber accordion cover in the door hinge area. VCDS scan might help. Picks out some faulty door but when my microswitch went, I don't remember any codes.
