Color of Fuchs Tital Sinto 75W90 gearoil
Just changed the fluid in the 6-sp manual transmission on 2000 2.7T using the Fuchs Titam Sintppoid 75W90. Was surprised this lubricant is clear not light brown like most of the 75W90 gearoils I have used in the past. Is that the right color?

That Fuchs 75w90 is GL5 oil for the differential with bevel gears. The transmission should have GL4 for straight gears. I have settled on Redline MT90(75w90) after trying MTL (75w80) and a 3 to 1 blend of MT90 and MTL. The Audi OEM is a 75w90 GL4 and I'm sure there are several other brands.
Drain the trans and save the oil for the rear differential. Happy shifting.
