Coolant leaking by drivers side
I have had a slow coolant leak for a while. But recently it has been leaking faster. Where I was only adding coolant every 2 weeks its now every 2 days.
I cannot pinpoint where it is coming from but the coolant is dripping down the drivers side of the trasmission right behind the engine.
Any ideas? I thought it may be the aux coolant pump but all the write ups I am reading are saying that leak shows up on the passenger side.

On the 2.7t, you can aim a small flashlight through the thicket of stuff at the front of the engine and see a tiny bit of the top. If there's any pink, it's the aux pump.
There's good instructions here somewhere. Not a particularly hard job, but a lot of dis/reconnection--a little labelling and good organization helps. And you'll wonder what German engineer put such a failure-prone pump in there!

Well I'll take a look and try to see it again. But I think I will go ahead an order that aux pump. I don't think I have ever heard the aux pump running so I think its broken anyway.

I doubt you'll hear it even if you replace it. It rarely gets hot enough for that pump to run.
