Get the replacement part number from the dealer. There are cross references.

Once you have the audi factory part number, many parts suppliers can "cross reference" that to a similar or identical after-market part, often made by the ame company that supplies Audi, but with their part number.

Mine is under the passenger side front carpet. i.e. not attached to the ABS pump like most of the newer ones.

Could also be under rear seat. Mine was under rug behind glove box. The Bosch ABS pump 5.3 with part # suffix T has the module in car cannot be fixed. If your ABS pump code does not end in T, the module can be fixed and is on side of pump.

Pardon my ignorance. Was yours behind the carpet on the incline? I only looked under the foot carpet (parallel to the ground) and behind the glivebox in the dash.

It's been a few years, but it was under pass side carpet and I'm pretty sure it was on angle in footwell, definitely not under seat. I have an 01 2.7 stick with esp. It's a metal box about 4x7 inches. On a 4.2 might be under rear seat. I tracked down location using info on Module Masters site. Maybe give them a call. If you can get by Miss Grumpy, someone might know.
