drivers side door lights not working

drivers side door lights not working
So i have a C5 A6 avant, and the drivers side door lights (can't remember the technical term) won't go on. Passenger side are on. I checked the fuse, flipped the two actually. and still nothing. Anyone else have this happen, or any advice on testing what could be wrong?

VCDS will give you a realtime assessment of your door switches.
It sounds like your drivers side door latch assembly (which includes the switch) might be the problem.
