Default There are at least 3 grades of metallic duct tape.

I forget what they are; I discovered it at HomeDepot when I went to get a roll. It depends on where you want to use the tape, thicker grades, different adhesives, temperature resistance, etc. Priced accordingly. I would use the highest temperature rating available for under hood or for fender liners (ask me how I know this…LOL!)

I find ducts are about the only thing you cant use duct tape on

It is still Duct Tape. I use it on ducts also.

Pretty sure it would not make good "racers tape".

HaHaHa (I understand this is the new "LOL")

Yes, put aluminum tape on to make your car LOOK like it had been on the track and picked up some damage.

I can see a Scion driver doing that!
