Default 04 A6 2.7t stalled and won't start

Last night my A6 stalled and now won't start. Has compression, spark, and gas.
I am guessing something on the accessory belt went bad. Whatever it is isn't ratting itself out. Plus noticed a nice amount of metal shavings that powdered the engine bay (exploded bearing possibly).
Has anyone ever had one of the accessories on the belt prevent the car from starting?
Just before it stalled I heard a clicking grinding noise from the front of the car. Then would not accelerate properly and eventually lost engine power and stalled. No CEL or any other light came on the dash and the comp is not detecting any codes.

This noise developed about 2 days ago and have been trying to find what it was. I video'd when I heard it.

All help is much appreciated. And thank you.

You can run the car without the accessory (serp) belt. That's not what is keeping the engine from starting. I'm guessing that your camshaft timing is gone.

After inspecting in the daylight sure enough the belt jumped. The Audi dealership that replaced the timing belt (in 2009) broke the cover and glued it. The piece they glued went through the gear and shredded half my belt. That's where the metal shavings all over the engine bay came from.

Vag com caught the cam timing sensor now.

Now where can I find Valves? I'm guessing these motors are 0 tolerance motors.
I'm Hoping only the Drivers side is the one that was damaged.

And since I'm obviously tearing into the car. What exactly needs to be removed from the down pipes? And any other little upgrades can I do?
I will be doing the thermostat and water pump and tension pulleys while its apart.

APR 93 octane stage 1 tune already done by Audi of Lexington.

It may be easier/cheaper to buy a used head than to replace the valves. Perhaps one of the more experienced poster will have an idea.

That is exactly what I was thinking about. And by far is. $600 for valves vs. $500 for both heads.

Thank you for your input.

Used heads are risky. First assess the damage. Get a belt back on the engine and do a leak down test to see what is bent. Then, if necessary, remove the head(s) that have issues and see what the damage it. Last I checked, aftermarket valves were about $20 each.
