No. Tip is just an Auto that you can mess around with ..Manuals have a better 0-60 because of the manipulation of the clutch (if you know how to use it).

Search the forum or read your owners manual or buy the repair manual, I'm confused myself on what you need to know? Is it the mechanics of the transmission?? or The technical function of the Tip Mode???

The ZF Tiptronic auto transmission is no different then any other modern band-less type, the Tip mode just over rides the auto mode with some limitations like speed MPH gear adjusting so when you stop it's not in 5th to start out or go.

Audi Tiptronic Transmission is a very beautiful transmission , the only thing is this, if you can get the parts you have no problem. Because the only issue it has is the transmission unite, reason , is that it contains all the electricals sensors unites, and it must March with the year if your buying it.
