How to tuneup? Oil change? 2003 audi A6 3.0
Hi I wanted to know more info about my new/ used 2003 audi A6 3.0. I bought it with 141,000 miles worked perfect until the pulley/ serpentine belt came of! I went to the agency to buy a new one and placed it on the pulleys and again it rips! I also wanted to know how much it will cost me to change motor oil? Transmission oil? And the whole tuneup on the vehicle? I am having trouble finding out about this car. If someone can give me info, I would really appreciate it, thank you.

RE the serp belt…if it rips then something is seized or bent as a general rule. Check all the pulleys and the serp belt tensioner. In your case it's probably a good rule to replace all the pulleys and the tensioner when you get a new belt. By pulleys, I also mean the ones on the AC compressor, the alternator, etc. Or you could just fix/replace the one that is probably causing it.
Motor oil/filter….get an owners manual or google capacities online, cost is up to you re quality, synthetic, etc.
Same with ATF…but figure 8 liters refill after drain, plus you need a J-shaped filler tube and google how to do it…it's not intuitively obvious.
Tuneups…about all you have to do is change spark plugs every 30K IIRC.
Welcome to the board, not that many women on it it seems.

Welcome. You might do a bit of searching, but a few thouhgts:
1. the serp belt should nto break again. Something is nto turning smoothly Find it.
2. what is the condition of the timing belt? That should be done evry 75k, alng with everything it touches ( water pump, idler, tensioner...) If it fails, your motor is ruined
3. Buy a repair or service manual (electronic version or paper) from Robert Bentley puiblishers.
Tune ups are simple - plugs, filters. Oil is really any good 5w40 or similar.
Enjoy,
Grant
