New owner of 2004 A6 3.0 engine...is my car front or rear wheel drive?
Hi Guys
Strange but when I turn my tire and go to take off it clicks like it has a bad cv axle in the front. Today I start looking around online and see that maybe my car is rear wheel drive? What can this clicking be? Thanks

It's at least front wheel drive. On the rear of the car it may say Quattro. That's a clue.
There are no modern pure rear wheel drive audis.

Thanks guys. No owners manual yet. I did some more searching and yes it is definately front wheel drive. What threw me off was I started searching for cv axles on ebay and rear wheel drive ones kept coming up and now I understand they are for the quattro. Thanks again for the help!
