I also have strong opinions that job #1 for most cars is a good alignment :-) In fact, at a recent PCA tech day the owner of a race shop was telling people "before you give me a lot of money, give me a little money".

Incidentally, the STs are just fine for the track too.

Great photo Just Me. I don't have any action ones. I three a couple of photos to show the rims off in another thread. I really dropped my Avant for the first few months of my new suspension and now just lifted it another inch to make the ride in the District of Columbia a bit more palatable. But as you mentioned, with a new alignment, new rims and new rubber, I think the ride is amazing now.

Looks to be a similar ride height to mine. I do like those wheels, though i'm not ready to go back to 17s or larger due to ride and out of round wheels ( damage).

Ha ha...it is actually nice having round wheels again. I mention that in my other thread. Oh and the huge bummer is that my 18 inch full size spare will NOT fit in the wheel well. Even removing the trunk deck bracket does not get the required space. I know you warned me about this...or maybe Sloop.

If the wheel is wider, it won't fit well as the lid won't close completely. It the wheel is larger because the tire is incorrectly sized to keep the overall wheel diameter the same, then it's a different issue.

The wheel would fit, however, you cannot drop it into the well because of the latch. I will finally submit and but a doughnut after Audi swapped my original donut out for a 15 inch donut at a service...grrrrr....
