My instrument cluster , the one that shows my CEL, etc... is just black, no readings at all. Not even faded pixels. Usually when they are going out, is it not just the some of the pixels and not the whole thing. It has been this way since I bought it, just now getting around to fix. Any suggestions? Do I need to have the instrument cluster rebuilt, if so anyone know if a inexpensive place. By the way all the other instruments work fine just the small cluster. Thanks

google instrument cluster rebuild repair or go to modulemaster.com. You can also do it through ebay.

Removing the cluster is pretty easy, instructions are on module master website IIRC.

On your 2K car you should be able to even use the car with the cluster out; of course you won't have any information like speed or tach or other instrument readings available or an odometer or fuel tank reading either. Takes maybe a week from the time you pull and send the cluster to getting it back but it could take less time depending on how fast you mail or UPS the cluster.
