Default List of chinese Parts

Personally i think Chinese parts get a bad rap. Some i have found to be very good . Since i only payed a thousand dollars for my car and like most , i realize we are into the law of diminishing returns as our cars get older and are worth less and less.
i was chatting with Sloop earlier about this and that and he mentioned a couple of chinese parts waiting to go on, that i didnt realize existed . I have started this thread so people can add parts they have had good and back luck with. Maybe it will aid somehome in extending the life of our cars for the buget conscious. I will kick things off and put prices down if i remember

1. power window Switch assembly on drivers side door that incudes lock out which was broken and wouldn't stay down . Payed about 29 bucks on ebay and has lasted about 5 years now an still looks and works fantastic.

2. Drivers door actuator assembly ( mine was binding and the door wouldnt close in winter till the car warmed up ) which incudes all the switches that control interior lights when the door is opened ( were worn out ), warning buzzer etc. payed about 40 bucks and is still working great.

3. Key shells .. payed about 15 buck for both . total disaster . circuit card is press fit into the original on studs which is very difficult to remove . there is a crystal glued in to the original which i think is part of the immobolizer, also moulding is for a much larger battery .. and didnt have fitment for emerency button , even though it said it was for a C5. I did use the rubbr piece that highlights the button functions though so no a total loss.

So if anyone has anything more to add please do, as i am always having bits and pieces falling off i will replace at the right price.

On my C4, which consumed 4 ignition switches, the $8.84 chinese replacement ties with teh factory original in longevity, and >> both German OEMs (one dealer, one German replacement)

Replacement cup holders from Ebay and shipped from china were a steal. Exactly the same, and they aren't broken like the originals.

Been running Chinese front axles on my C5. Over 100K on them before the outer boot split on one. Getting a new axle for $99 tomorrow and plan to install it next week. Can't say I was disappointed with them.

That said, what I refuse to buy is foreign brake rotors.

Problem with ECS website is you often don't get all the nuts/bolts/parts etc by searching via term…better luck with audi p/n and up comes parts you'll never see. For example, searching on 'grommet' gets a page of stuff you might not want.

ES#2763228==fender liner hardware kit. for front liner it's $40 so you might want just a few screws and expanding nuts/anchors.
ES#:445400 Mfg#: 8H0807199A torx screw
ES#:2642965 Mfg#: N90821401 expanding nut for above torx screw

grommet ES#367078, audi #4B0807467A for bumper cover stud, gozinta fender before the bumper stud is pushed through.

nut with washer, gozonta the bumper cover stud from inside the wheel well
4B0807457A
It might also be a flanged nut at ECS:
ES#:472457 Mfg#: WHT001002

I was trying to be PC by not saying Chinese twice in the same post. Since it comes with foreign non-Chinese rotors, I'm cool with that.
