Looking at 2005 A6...tranny question
Hey guys
Going to be joining the Audi family in the next few days I believe, just a question of which one. I am looking at a 2005 Audi A6 3.2L. It has 115K Miles and is in quite good shape I think.
As I am not experienced with Audi's I have a question about the transmission. When I start out slowly it seems to have a hesitation between pressing the gas and actually moving. If I step on it relatively hard it seems to not have the hesitation. The guy selling it says that is normal due to the drive by wire system (No idea if this is true). The guy seems quite honest about the car so do not believe he is trying to screw me.
Other then that, car seems to be in very good condition for the age/mileage.
Any other issues I should be looking at?
Thanks for having me!

Wrong forum, you want the C6 chassis.
That said, a hesitation like you describe is usually fixed by a "Throttle Body Adaptation", which can be performed by any shop with a VCDS or VAG diagnostic machine. You could google it.
