im actually a newbie, and while doing the valve cover gaskets on my car, I noticed a pink gummie like leak under waterpump and cant really tell if its leaking or about to fail...i can also see grey silicone over gasket..
From your photo, it doesn't look too severe. Suggest cleaning off the surfaces, and see if more coolant appears. Also, monitor the coolant level in the overflow tank. If you see a noticeable drop in the tank level in a short duration, then you have a leak.

I'd put UV dye in the system, pressurize it, and look for leak. OTOH, if you're not losing coolant, you don't have a problem.
