Ross-tech VCDS for the most part. If you have a warranty take it to a dealer with the right equipment…generally an audi dealer or a good independent. Since both headlights are downward dog it's most likely a transmitter or connector/harness failure at either the front or rear left wheel well…the sensor is attached to the left front lower control arm and IIRC the left rear lower control arm.

Makes sense, how do I confirm that there is in fact a problem and I'm not actually imagining a problem. It just seems like the beam of the headlight is not shining towards the horizon of the road, rather only a hundred feet or so in front of the car.

It seems strange that the dealership would not check for those codes especially considering how much work they did to it before I bought it. (also I bought my car used from Autohaus of Lancaster a full service vw audi porsche dealership)

Headlights are not supposed to shine at the horizon.

The cut-off should drop 2 to 3 inches per 25 feet.

Yeah thats probably a good way to go about it. Thank you for the link, I'll be sure to use that as a reference for my test.
