New to audi scene just picked up 2000 audi a6 2.7t
I just recently got into the audi scene . And have some issues I was wondering if I could get some help.
- so when I'm under power and let off I get a lurch like a quick hold back or sudden brake.
- sometimes when I start the car I'm getting interference in my rear speakers and sounds like the motor and goes up and down with the revs.
- and last when at higher speeds and try and speed up I get vibrations.
Any help would be amazing I'm fairly mechanically inclined just don't know anything about audi's.

What kind of transmission do you have? Is it a manual or a Tiptronic?
As far as the noise in the radio goes it sounds like the ignition system is generating static and the radio is picking it up.

Lurches can be caused by various vacuum and boost leaks. Good chance your diverter valves are gone and a likely split in the throttle body boot(hides under clamp). Diverter valves are at front of throttle body. Make sure they hold vacuum. While you're there check rubber boot to throttle body. Check vacuum hose to fuel pressure regulator on driver side attached to rear fuel rail. F hose under front of intake on passenger side with check valve to "spider hose." All other check valves.
Look up boost test diy and make one.
Vibration can be lots of things... If only under power, then sort the vacuum/boost leak issues. If coasting drivetrain issues...even loose lug nuts!
I'm a manual trans person, so if your car is TIP, could be issues there, too. Regardless, I would recommend a Bentley Manual and Ross-Tech VCDS if you want to fully sort the car.

If you just got the car, you need to check the service history (if you have one).
If the ATF has not been hanged in the last 50-80K miles, or if you don't know, change it and the filter. (Old fluid does no one any good)
Check the capacitor (condenser) on the coil pack as that could be the noise.
Is it a factory stereo?
Are there any mods you can tell?

Tip...maybe sounds like a trans issue. Sort the vacuum and pressure lines anyway.
Check the connections at back of radio head unit and at amp in trunk on passenger side. If you have a portable AM radio use it as a noise detector, around ignition components and wiring from head unit to amp in back. Could just be a loose connection. Also, you can run a temporary ground wire from battery negative or a good ground connection to the radio metal box. If noise stops, sort the bad ground to radio or amp, or just add an extra ground wire to radio box and declare victory. Wiring diagrams and plug wiring specs are available online.
