Odd Noise when steering during HOT weather
When the outdoor temps are cool the car is quiet as a mouse. But when the temps rise much like they are now. Only from the driver side when i turn i hear a sound of which mimics to rubber blocks rubbing together.
Anyone experience the same issue?? If so what bushing can i replace or lube up to get rid of this annoyance.

Is it coming from the outside, or the inside? Audis develop a particular rubbing sound from the steering column, I wasn't able to track it down in my previous A6, but my AR is quiet so far.

to OP: spray some wd-40 to the steering wheel bearings first

anything marginal could be affected by heat .. i resolved this by having my wife turn the wheel side to side while i put my hand on different components. turned out to be my tie rod end .. the lubrication had gone out of it ..

I experienced the same issue last summer, it was my upper CA(s).
^I took the hose and sprayed everything with a ball joint-end(control arms, TREs) one by one until the noise went away.

Did you end up having to replace the upper control arms or were you able to get some e.g. white silicon grease in there?

Spraying the wheel well down with the hose usually kept the noise away for a few hours on hot days -- so I'd assume spraying the culprit ball-joint down with something like white silicon grease should eliminate the noise for a while.
