Old vacuum hoses are like old plumbing
Cripes. Started with passenger valve cover gasket. Before it is over I'll be replacing all three hoses on the crankcase ventilation. Talk about brittle - sheesh. Guess I'll change the CTS while I have clear access to it.
Interesting on the PCV lines though. Lots of sludge from the block up to the valve (which feels like it weighs over a pound) and more sludge going to the passenger side valve cover while the line to the driver side was relatively clear. Passenger side was the first cat to fail. Did find a vacuum line with a hole under the cover over the throttle valve.
Do you guys use regular vacuum line to replace or get the braided Audi line? Just curious.

Hello Raj99, what website did you use to purchase the silicone hose for the crankcase ventilation hose? thanks.

I bought mine at the local O'Reilly auto parts store, saved time and shipping and I was able to get replace all the offending hoses in less than an afternoon.
