peeking in from the UrS6 forum, anyone know/have opinions on this car?
<a href="http://www.audiforums.com/m_880286/tm.htm">link</a>
A friend of mine is interested but as much as I know about the 1995 S6, I know nothing (Expect for how fast it is) about the C5 S6.
Anyone have any experience with this car and have any thoughts or opinions (routine maintenance aside)?
Given the age of my UrS6 there is a whole list of items to check/replace/keep and eye on and while I am sure there isn't such a long list for the C5, I assume there are a few things.
Thanks in advance.

waaaay too high, leather doesn't look like it's been treated in a long time...
same with the plastics.
that's a 14K car. the market is dumping bad on used cars.
god only knows about what's wrong with it, and if it has the dreaded shake.

auto trader average...what are people actually buying the car for?
the only ones out there buying an S6 would be an S6 fan. outside of that, no one's buying a high hp. station wagon that's a maint. nightmare.

Re: why maint nightmare ?, these cars are alway purchased by s6 fans
did you have an s6 care to share your maint history
mine has been bomb proof.
Somebody just got one last week in the low $20s so people who wont these and know these are still paying a fair price for them you can see them for sale in the $15k range but that is with 100k miles which ever way you look at it its a lot of car for the money.

The price is high for the miles, but it looks like a nice car
I have a UrS6 and my wife has a C5 S6. We bought her's last summer for $22k w/ 59k miles and 1 year of CPO coverage. No mods, but the mods on that car don't add to the value. The stock brakes and suspension don't justify the cost to upgrade and for only 20hp the chip and exhaust aren't worth it either. The C5 S6 is a great family hauler that is fun to drive.
IMO this car should sell in the $17-19k range. Gas prices are hurting their value now, but I averaged 21 mpg on a 2000 mile vacation with lots of spirited mountain road driving. Mainteance is about the same as any C5, but S6's can be a tougher on the trans than other C5's.

if the car's from an owner that can document history go for it!
the problem is that S6s get passed around and end up in a lot of owners hands that can't afford to fix them. that's why you'll see them at honda dealers, etc.
if you have a good example full steam ahead.
i had a 02 C5 Avant...not bad service history, was the original owner and put 22K miles on it until this year. for a pristine car, it wasn't worth much.
