Q5: On the main dash, it says the trunk door is open by blinking, but it is actually closed / locked. How do i reset this?

Try disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes, then reconnect. This may clear the fault code. It won't work is you have another issue like the sensor or broken wire, etc. Can you lock/ unlock the trunk lid with the FOB? This could also offer a clue. If the battery disconnect doesn't work start checking the wiring, especially where it goes from the car body to the trunk lid. The wires tend to break where they flex all the time.
