Eventually someone's going to have to do the repair - If you do decide to keep it, that someone will be you. Otherwise, sooner or later that will cause a serious seal rupture/leak or pump failure (and thus PS loss) - and its most definitely going to happen when when the pump is at work. Which means someone driving. Not really a family-hauler option.
