Hello my fellow audi owners!

My transmission overheated in the same day that I bought the oil to perform a full flush...

right now I don't know if it were just a problem with the old oil or if the pump inside the tranny isn't working properly...

what happened was that I were driving in a highway, keeping 110 130 km/h - 65 80 miles per hour and then someone wanted to pass, so I speed up to 150 and kept for about 5 minutes,

then LIMP MODE..

I have a elm 327 with torque app - and I suspect that the coolant temp that it trows out is really the transmission temp, hitted about 150 Celsius...

after that I lost reverse also, only 4th gear...

would be good enough, but I didn't had a vagcom cable yet, and looking for one I broke the torque converter, parked in a ladder... one stupid thing after another...

so now I need overhaul my transmission, new torque converter and help from u guys, any tips?

anyway, I'm getting down this project, repair, and he provide me supervision and help me with the things that needs more experience... I discovered that is easy to tear down anything... things get a little more tricky the other way around!

since I'm a Brazilian guy, I need to bring things from US to perform this job, find parts for a 98 a6 around here not even worth to try, thanks to internet and ebay we'll be able to find what we need.

Hello fellows!

Some updates, cleaned up engine and the trans, mounts and the engine compartment!

in the engine sprayed gas, in the transmission diesel with a cleaning agent that melts your fingerprints... just a little! not too much I hope

meanwhile US suppliers sent me my parts, so I should get them soon!
