If you're referring to turbo rebuild, there are no "magic" seals included. Just a new brass journal bearing, among other replacement parts. It's call a rebuild kit. Although you might consider it magic if it fixes your leaking turbo problem.

Probably more expensive than the $800 that you paid for the car. Plus, you get to pull the motor to remove/replace the turbos. If your time is worth $100 per hour, that also is worth more than what you paid for the car.

When you're done, you will have more in the car than it would sell for.

Do the math....

Turbo rebuild usually aren't that expensive, maybe $200 per turbo, which also includes high speed balancing.
Also, there are seals, a journal bearing doesn't keep oil in, the turbine shaft rides on a film of oil passing between the bearing and shaft.
There are carbon or graphite spring seals at both ends behind the turbine and compressor wheels.

I am curious to a few things. Did this problem gradually start or did the car just start smoking bad all of the sudden? Has the smoking become worse over time?

also, what color is the smoke??? Black - fuel/oil. Whiteish = coolant

And finally, what do your plugs look like???? Black covered with oil??? or wet smelling sweet???

Inspecting the plugs will tell you a lot about what is going on inside the engine

There are plenty of youtube videos on how to rebuild turbos and the kit on amazon looks similar to the rebuild kit I did to my GMC Syclone...which was easy.

OK, so there are no seals, as i thought. Its just an oil tight ( mostly) bearing.

That was my question - someone referred to "new seals". I could nto imagine any seal material handling the heat.

Not the exact turbo, but all turbos have to have an oil seal of some kind, otherwise you would have oil spraying out the exhaust.
