Default Transmission help needed.

So I was driving and had my transmission start to act funny on me last Thursday. I would begin to accelerate from a stop and the RPM's would rise and then a big chunk as the car started to move. It would also cause the PRND432 on the dash to all light up.

I scanned the car and got these codes
Address 02: Auto Trans Labels: 01L-927-156.lbl
Control Module Part Number: 4B0 927 156 BS
Component and/or Version: AG5 01L 4.2l5V USA 1414
Software Coding: 00032
Work Shop Code: WSC 02387
VCID: 79F710F463F603F639-513C
2 Faults Found:

17114 - Gear Ratio Monitoring
P0730 - 35-00 - Incorrect Gear Ratio
18265 - Load Signal
P1857 - 35-10 - Error Message from ECU – Intermittent

VCDS Version: Release 15.7.4 (x64) Running on Windows 8 x64
Ross-Tech: Home

Address 01: Engine Labels: None
Control Module Part Number: 4D0 907 558 S
Component and/or Version: 4.2L V8/5V G01 0006
Software Coding: 06652
Work Shop Code: WSC 15977
VCID: 3D7FC4E4375EFFD655-515A
2 Faults Found:

18032 - MIL Request Signal Active (Check TCM for errors too!)
P1624 - 35-00 -
16487 - Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70)
P0103 - 35-10 - Signal too High - Intermittent

Readiness: 0110 1101

Then I got a tranny service kit from BLAUParts and after servicing it the exact same issue still exists. Nothing improved or changed.

Nothing in the transmission sounds broken. nothing sounds bad other than the issue with the rising RPM's ect.

I need to get this resolved ASAP, so any help is much appreciated!

Thanks
Phil

...yup .. that's why im getting mine flatbedded to the wreckers ... exactly the same scenario. at least I got over 400 K kilometers out of min e. Im okay with it .

not worth dumping even used transmission money into a 16 year old car with this mileage.

Sorry, the transmission is no good. ALL the 01L transmissions in the V8 cars will fail at some point. The A8 I had lost reverse at 120k, I just got rid of it, too much money for a car that wasnt nice. If your car is super nice, you might consider a rebuilt unit or having yours rebuilt.

How are we not able to just replace the solenoid that has gone south? I saw a rebuild kit was around 800. We employ a mechanic who may be able to do it.

Back to the solenoid, I can look at which ones got incorrect signals and replace that one, correct? If the issue is incorrect gear ratio monitoring, that to me sounds like a sensor of sorts.

What solenoid? your code is gear ratio monitoring, incorrect ratio. That means it detects slippage, the input and output speed sensor signals do not match. It needs rebuilt.

common mistake . the sensor is there for a reason . replacing the sensor is akin to shooting the messenger. Just like people replacing the o2 sensor when it tells them the cat has gone bad.
