Windown Control Module
Anyone have a window control module fail in such a way that the window will not stay closed.
You push the switch for auto up and it goes up and then back down.
The dealer said it was the module.
Sometimes bumping the switch will get it to move a little at a time to get it closed.
Or physically holding it tight at the top just as it closes before it stars back down.
This is all reported second-hand, by my daughter, so I am trying to be proactive in finding what I need to fix when I get the car back.

The motor controller works by sensing the current draw on the motor... Its possible that for some reason its now too sensitive burned resistor maybe) and the weight of the glass as it gets to the top is causing it to think its jammed.
Or possible the motor or gear box is worn out and that's putting additional strain on it, either way replacing the window motor will be the fix.

Worn-out window guides can cause similar issues even going up and they are not that big of a deal to replace plus inexpensive, there is a tech guide on the R&R in the Features tab on the top of the page.

Sorry to hear that
just for the sake of people who use the search button, my A6's rear window does the same thing. The window clips that hold the window in place are worn out. If I push the rear window up and forward, it will remedy the problem.

The rear window problem is usually one worn track guide not clips, unfortunately that entails replacing the window regulator assembly because nobody sells the guide separate.
