Hey guys, I'm a noob, any help is appreciated.
I have an 06 A6 3.2L quattro, one day it just stopped starting. No warning no noises. I did a search here which led me to believe it was the starter. Also, I tried bypassing and got no results. So I put in a new starter today. After all that , NOTHING. tried bypassing with the new starter, and the starter makes a spinning noise but the car will not crank. Lights, battery, all are fine. Steering wheel turns, radio works, I can hear the fuel pump when the key turns. I have read multiple other posts in the past few weeks but now I am at a standstill. Thanks for your time.

You should run a scan using VAG-COM or equivalent to see what is going on. There should be some DTCs that will help pinpoint the problem.

Thank you for that. Unfortunately I don't have that software. Is there Any other troubleshooting I can do? Or if I can get it started another way ? Anything to avoid going to the Stealership

I am located in scranton PA, and that would be great. I bought this car in march and it's been a money pit.
