2005 A6 Headlight Failure
Hey,
I have a 2005 A6 4.2.
I recently had the drivers side adaptive headlight warning come on and it won't turn side to side anymore. I was thinking about just replacing both headlights with the much much cheaper non-driven type. Does anyone know if this will clear the error code? Or will it still think there is a short/fault in the motor?
Thanks,
Logan

You need to scan the car to determine the correct fault(s). It could be a software error (there was an update in 2006), a bad controller, or the headlight component itself.
