Greetings,

I am in the midst of a correcting two oil leaks I have in the engine. One leak was from the oil filter profile gasket seal between the base of the oil filter housing and engine block. The other emanates from the profile gasket between the camshaft guide frame and cylinder the head and wants to fill up the sparkplug bores. The leak is not from the valve cover gasket. The tear down is substantial to do this job but I am getting near to being able to put it back together. I have Bentley's e-bahn for my 2007 A6 as a manual.

When I am ready to re-install the camshaft adjuster to each camshaft. The manual specifies an initial torque of 60 NM while preloading the camshaft adjuster to 40 NM (yes, I will have the special tools to do this) . After each cam adjuster is torqued to the camshaft via the bolt, the e-bahn says then to torque the bolt to its final value but does not specify the value. The bolts I speak of are labeled as #50 in the attached image.

Anybody out there familiar with this job that knows or has a resource that lists the final torque value?

Located answer: For future reference final torque is 80 NM plus 1/4 turn more to stretch bolt.
