2007 A6 digital instrument cluster

It was a 3.2 L quattro engine. I had bought the car used from a dealer with 30k miles on it. i meticulously maintained the car each month and at about 126k miles the engine died on me. I am not 100% sure of the actual reason, as i am not familiar with the mechanics of the engine. However, my mechanic told me that some internal piece of the engine (a rotor, maybe) had shattered and bits of metal circulated through the system. Apparently the previous owner wasn't changing the oil regularly. I will forever have trepidation when buying a used Audi, or any car for that matter.

My 06 4.2 lost the digital speedo after a dealer visit for one of the TSB's related to an issue where my fuel economy calculation was all over the place. At least I think that was it. May have been another TSB. I cant really remember.
