2007 Audi a6 4.2
I currently have an issue with my fuel pump and I was wondering if the 4.2 is susceptible to the 2.0T HPFP issue where it wrecks the Cam follower and other fuel system parts ending up in a $2500 fix! Im really hoping its just a fuel pump or sensor. Thanks everyone!

From all the reading that I have done, 4.2 does not suffer from HPFP, a neglected fuel filter is a completely different story. The timing chain adjuster issues have been fixed, but the adjusting solenoids have a metal screen mesh that falls apart and clogs them. If they haven't been updated you will know. Will throw timing codes and misfire. I've replaced all four at about $80 each, two that went bad and two because I knew they would have gone bad. Takes literally 30 seconds to replace one and I think if you haven't done so, keep at least one on the car so you are not stranded anywhere when they get jammed.

well here's hoping
My issues are nothing serious I believe my fuel pump n filter may be bad or worn out I went through a hard time n ran below half tank for two months now im stalling everytime I start the car pulling the p2293 code I believe for fuel pressure regulator perf 2 so heres to hoping its something small! I also had on spark plug changed recently to check on cylinder 2 I wonder if there is anyway that caused what is happening, but thank you very much Its my first c6 after my c5 and I love it, just want to be prepared for any future problems thank you very much!
