Thanks for your sharing your experience. I changed the fuel filter out just over 2 months ago which unfortunately for me didn't fix mine like it did yours. Admittedly I didn't order the fuel filter straight from audi, I used . Maybe I'm wrong, but it seemed like this one should be correct.

Solved finally!
This past weekend I pulled the intake manifold back off the car and replaced the fuel injector on #2. The car runs great now that it's back together.
The hardest part of removing the intake manifold both times was the 4 electrical connectors at the front. There's just not enough room to get hands down there. Hopefully I won't have to get the intake manifold off again for a long while, lol.
I had asked about injector bench testing because I started getting a misfire on #6 in addition to #2, but after a day at work of worrying that the sky was falling (my fuel injectors all failing), I went home and switched coils around and found #6 was a bad coil...big relief.
