2008 S-Line Question

2008 S-Line Question
Hi all, had a question about a 2008 A6 I just picked up.
It has an S-Line front grille emblem but thats it.
No steering wheel emblem or paddle shifters and running the 3 digit codes in the trunk reveal normal suspension.
If it was an S-Line, would it not have to have some if not all of these features?
Just want to know if someone simply replaced the grille on me as I have yet to pay for it and I can cancel the check if I fint it is BS.
Here are some pics of the car in question and thanks in advance everyone.

In 2008 every A6 had the SLine exterior package, which had zero performance enhancements. There was a separate option package for the S Line interior and the sport suspension was yet another option. Based on your post it appears that you are looking at a base A6.

Just wanted to ensure I was not getting taken for a ride.
It has just about every other option from a tech standpoint except for the Nav DVD, but it has the Becker K-Box Navigation Control so I may look at adding it, assuming it's not a huge pain.
I'm still getting a great deal on it so I am pretty happy with the car and it's much nicer than my 2002 A6
Thank you again

KevinGary is spot on, as usual! I'm on my 3rd C6 Avant and find it interesting the way AUDI plays games w/options continually! My most recent '08 A6 Sline Avant was purported to have sport suspension but it seemed stock height to me I was doubtful! When I got it home I decoded the Options sticker I found it did not have Sport Suspension which is probably just as well because when I put the 19 " S5 Summer Wheels w/255/35/19 Nokian Zlines it's plenty stiff enough for me and our beat roads in Central NY! It does have the Sline interior w/Sports Seats, which I much prefer over so-called comfort seats. Here on the audiworld forum are some very handy price guides that will help you tell how your car is configured. Here's a link to the '08 A6 Price List for example. BTW I find the C6 platform far superior to the C5 personally, I think you'll enjoy it.

I agree with everything that KevinGary and stuffinder said. I've also got an '08 S-Line Avant, 19's with an adjustable suspension. Just curious from stuffinder, since you're on your 3rd C6 (I've only had one C5 and one C6 avant), what's the next car? I'm ready, but can't find many '11's. I love the quattro system but am not sure about an SUV, but if I do, perhaps the Macan. Thoughts?

Thanks. True about the pricing. I've had a quattro for the last 13 years and love it in the snow. The SQ5 has the same engine as the Macan S, but Porsche elected to stick with their own all wheel drive system. I'm not sure how it compares to the Audi. I've got a '02 Porsche with awd, but it's significantly different than the quattro system.
I'll have to go over to the Q5 forum to see some of the comments.
Thanks!
