filled the car the other day and everything was fine - started the next day and gauge sits at empty - read somewhere that putting Techron might fix the problem
well while i was dealing with that issue - the tilt steering stopped working - in and out is fine - but won't go up or down
wth !!!???
anyone think these two are related ?

Interior Fuse Box Location: 2005-2011 Audi A6 - 2008 Audi A6 3.2L V6
There should be diagram on inside of the covers. In worst case go and pull each fuse one by one.

There is a TSB for the fuel gauge, check my TSB library, which is linked in my signature. The motorized tilt wheel is a common problem. Unfortunately, it requires the replacement of the entire column. Because of the expense I would just learn to live with not having a tilt wheel.

It has happened to me three times. Twice they had to replace the entire sterling column. Once they were able to fix it with a software fix. Here is a TSB on the steering column. http://uberlame.com/a6_tsb/Electrica...noperative.pdf

The dealer tried the software for the column but my column became inoperative again within a couple of weeks. I actually had the column replaced twice during my 9 years with the car. It cost approximately $1200 both times. TSBs are not free unless performed during the car's warranty period. But it does provide the suggested fix.

I know a couple people looking to buy an S6. Please send me pics (interior and ext), mileage, condition, any issues, maintenance history, location.
After that, I can figure out a fair price and arrange an inspection, if they are interested.
Just an FYI, the depreciation has hit the v10 S6 very HARD. So, I suggest you check what dealers are selling them for, to get an idea of where your asking price should be. Private sale typically will get considerably less than a dealer, unless it is a high demand car (which the v10 S6 is not).
Your other option is a trade-in at a dealer, but theyll offer you practically nothing for it.
