After having two local 2011 A6 Avants stolen out from under my nose (one by an AudiWorld member) in as many weeks, I popped onto craigslist and miraculously found a 2010 within driving distance that had been posted only a few hours before. Called that night, then woke up before the sun yesterday for a 3.5 hour drive to check it out.

I wasn't disappointed. It seems to be in *superb* condition, inside and out, for the (~143k) miles. According to Carfax report, the second owner drove it nearly 100k miles in the last three years(!), but serviced it regularly. Suspension is tighter than my current car, a 2014 Mazda6 GT with 110k fewer miles on it.

Tomorrow I'll go back to scoop it up. Here are some pics!

Matey, it looks great! I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Our car is at 126k miles and is still a complete pleasure to drive/live with. Clearly one of the best cars I've owned.

Just got back from the 180 mile drive home from MA: the old girl got nearly 28 mpg doing 80 mph most of the way. Quiet, comfy, powerful and beautifully proportioned lines that are such a pleasure to behold. I'm smitten!

I know how you feel about having deals snatched out from under you. I had no idea that Avants were so popular until I started hunting for one.
