Steel Wheels = 120 N-m
Alloy Wheels = typically 90 N-m

I have heard of people putting some around the seat between the bolt at wheel, but NEVER on the threads. I personally would never do it. If you don't over tighten, you should not have any issues.

BTW, to correct my previous post above, it appears that some Audi with Alloy wheels also recommend 120 N-m of torque on the lug-bolts. Check the manual!

I did this summer for the very 1st time.. I was hesitant after reading posts but what I did was i tested it on 1 lug.. Applied a small amount on seat n thread and tightened then immediately took it off to to see if it felt any easier to remove.. It didnt i also visually inspected the lug to see how much anti seize was on lug ...nothing significant .. So I decided to do them all and run them for a short while nbecause I knew I would have them all off soon after for a test fit of another wheel and I would test for looseness then. I had them off for the fitting 2 or 3 weeks later ...no issues they removed fine...Normal tightness... I took them off last month to run my stock wheels n did not reapply anti seize, just figured I did not need to... I'll decide on a reapplication in spring when I return to my summers.

Default Audi allroad wheel nut torque

Hi, have also been looking for this information on torque figures for wheel nuts on an Audi allroad 2.7T. mine is a year 2000 model in the UK.
After searching online and getting ideas, but nothing 100%, I've managed to find the proper information from the Bentley Publications Audi A6 Service Manual, which covers the following models 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 A6, S6 allroad quattro, RS6.
In section 4, chapter 44-1, under the heading 'Tightening torque' it states 'Wheel bolt to wheel hub' 120Nm (90 ft-lb).
So if any of you are wanting this info, this is accurate from the A6 Service manual. I hope this helps anyone needing the same information. Also if you are putting wheel spacers to these A6 model, it is advisable to use the same torque figures as the wheel nuts, but REMEMBER after driving 100 miles with new spacers on, RECHECK and re torque the bolts on both the spacers and the wheels.

Qurraci, it's still 88 ft*lbs for the majority of Audi cars. The SUVs use different values.

If you wish to double-check, it's always going to be found in your Owner's Manual.
