Replace or is there anything that can be lubricated to stop noise. Noise is just iritating but everything works.
Thanks all.
Thanks all.

I've got to Avants with the same problem but intermittent - an 03 and 06. Both start squeaking after a period of time but only on fan setting 4 and only on level or incline driving - go down hill and the noise is gone. I think it's relatively common. Still annoying. Found this on youtube - easier than I thought it would be if you want to try lubing it or replacing it.

Yeah, VAG seems to have issues with the blower bearings in their cars. I had a nearly new VW that did the same...most irritating.

GNot hard at all with the right tools. Just time consuming. I did it with a minor hangover and it took me about 45 mins to get to the blowermotor. Lots of screws so keep them in order. One of the screws that hold down the blowermotor cover was difficult due to angle and access. The video was for a right hand drive car so he may not have the same brackets for the wiper. It needed a 7/32 openended wrench since a rachet or torx screwdriver could not get to it. Additionally you will likely need a battery/wiper puller. I bought one from amazon for $13 and it worked perfectly.
Lastly the video does not show every screw. Mine had a screw inside the blowermotor housing holding it down.
Lastly dont forget to reconnect the white plastic arm to the motor that closes vent(recirculate). I forgot and realized it after i closed everything up. Ended up doing the job twice but the second time was much quicker.
Good luck.

Anyone ever do the DIY on this, just bought my first Allroad and it's got the intermittent cricket noise only at a certain fan speed and precise situations which seems to happen all to often?
