Default Button in the drivers door?

What is this button that is in the drivers door. I am guessing it is to turn stability control off? It has a picture of a car going up an incline.

I ask because mine came loose and I did not realize it. When I close the door the button jammed and in door frame and the door panel cracked. Now it is really loose (I'm not really sure which came first the crack of the loose button)?

Has this happened to anyone else? What does a used or new door panel go for?

I believe it has to do with turning off the tilt sensor for the alarm. So if you're towing the car it won't go off. When I lived in Seattle I had to hit the button when riding on the ferries as the rocking motion would set it off.

+1 - It's for the alarm's tilt sensor. Mine is loose also.
