Not an RS6. No fender bulges. That's the easiest way to recognize true RS6. This is most likely S6 Avant bought overseas by a service member while stationed there and then brought back to US. Since the S6 sedan and A6 Avant are both homologated by the government it was no problem to import it.

Bingo... Definitely an S6! Wikipedia says that the S6 Avant was distributed to the North American market but I'm not certain that's correct. As a coincidence, a few days ago I had just posted a question over in the Audizine forum asking if anyone has ever seen an S6 Avant in the US...and then I stumbled upon this post. Glad to see there's one rolling around the US. Now I just need to convince the owner to hand over the keys.

Default UPDATE: Rare Bird has landed in Dallas

I only had a few minutes with her late in the day - she was super muddy from the transport trip from CT to TX - but a beauty nonetheless. One concern - I did a quick drive around the block and when I returned to the dealership - I noticed a hot engine smell - what I would describe as a fluid leak on hot engine parts smell - gauges were all fine - so i reported the smell to the service advisor - they will get a good look at her tomorrow ... anyone have any thoughts other than what I have described? 3.0T engine 62.000 miles

Could be because of the humidity during the transport trip. I would drive it for a few days first before making conclusions. Congrats by the way.
