Does not using premium gas cause these issues
Today i put regular 87 octane instead of the usual 92 in my gas tank my car was misfiring, shifting erratically, trying to stall at low rpm, and getting terrible gas milage. I know this all adds up to the answer being likely... but its odd as it started almost immediately after putting the gas in... the tank was not completely empty but low. Anyways i stopped at a gas station after i started writing this post, and it stalled rolling in. I put some more gas in and filled the other half tank with premium... restarted the car, and while it is still running rough it is mostly better.
I guess i just find it amazing that using bad gas will cause all these issues and i am worried it could be something else after all the problems i have had with the car.
it seems like a fluke that the symptoms seemed to be caused by the gas but maybe it is something else ( i know my low pressure fuel pump is at like 60% load all the time ) maybe the in tank pump is going bad now after the hpfp was replaced.... shutting the car off reset it and it started working and the car runs...
also ordered a new fuel filter but havent had time to install it. Will probably do that today.
any feed back is great! Thanks guys

I drove it again about 20 miles and the misfiring and bad shifts are gone but i am feeling a big vibration in the gas pedal its like a rythmic vibration that starts at about 60 mph and continues through 85. This might be because i had to put a 16 inch rim on my front right wheel because a pothole broke the 17 inch in half and i didnt have a 17 to replace it... that happened the other day. Maybe a motor mount. I will have to get in there and look more.
for those curious here is a picture of the broke rim

Not sure if the area you live does that but in Md DC and VA you can get reimbursment for the wheel and tire. Just fugure out what road you were on when you broke the wheel..whose it is...like town city county state...take pictures of pothole and wheel and reach to whoever maintains them..they will pay for it..at least they pay around here.
