Hey racer, Did you do the fuel filter yet? Is it hard/complicated?

Good write-up r1racer... Do you know all this applicable for the 4.2 engine? I'm at 54K and will be doing this soon. Thanks

Don't quote me on this but I belive that the oil change (more oil obviously), spark plugs (not sure what the gap is though), air filter, cabin filters and lubing are the same. Not sure about the fuel filter installation as the part number is different for the 4.2L.

All the part numbers are the same except:
Oil filter
Fuel filter

Thanks a lot. Your write-up will help a lot of people save money when the time comes for 55K service.

Thank you racer - You are the best!!

Attaching TSB for oil filter change

"When changing the oil filter and installing the new filter seal(s) in the oil filter housing, special attention is required.
Note: Be aware that this seal can be installed inside-out, which must be avoided to prevent oil leaks."

I did the fuel filter replacement as well yeesterday. I put the car on ramps which worked great for me. The only hard part was taking those pipes out - the blue one came off easy. The black one on the same side had to be pressed on both the sides and removing this was harder than the blue one. The pipe at the other end had some kind of clippy which I was not able to see initially.

This is good info. So itlooks like the second o-ring is also in the cap. I will add this to the oil change post.
