Door Panel
Does anyone know how to remove the door panel on a 2005 Audi A6 4.2? I dont want to break anything.
I only see 1 scree on the bottom.
I want to replace the door speakers and add a small sub on the rear deck

There are 5 screws here you go. The rest is held on by clips.
1. 5 screws, 1 hidden behind the tweeter (which comes out easily using a small flat screwdriver)(See image 1)

Dont forget to unclip all electronics in image 2.

Good luck and welcome!!

Yea you can use a flathead if you want but be very careful not to scratch the wood or silver trim. I would just pop it out from the front towards to back of the car just be careful on the last one and do it slowly. To get the door off just pull at the bottom and youll have to work it off its realy on there.

do you need a specific connector (audi special wiring) for the speakers or do the standard connectors work fine? i was thinking of swapping out the speakers as well. thanks.

haha bye: are there relative locations of the clips that you can draw circles around on that same picture for me? I have all the screws out and I am trying to figure out where to pull on the panel exactly to get it off. Thanks!

wood trim
Just wondering, as I haven't done it yet... When pulling off the wood/aluminum panel... is it possible to remove the wood easily leaving just the Al trim (I have some new trim) or is glued/affixed in a way that would destroy the panel... Any thoughts would really help.
