It depends. READ THE STICKY https://www.audiworld.com/forums/sho....php?t=2607361

The version of s/w are you on now will be determinant on what course of action you take to update, but most likely all you'll need is the latest version which is the 46.1.0 CD set of 2.

I think I have both of mine still...somewhere...so if you want them PM me.

I'm hoping to do the MMI update on my 2005 A6 and I've been trying to read up about it. I've heard about the bluetooth improvements but am wondering what is better. I haven't had any pairing or connectivity issues that I've noticed, but I haven't had the car that long yet.

On the bluetooth, the clarity is better.

Other huge bonuses are no more seatbelt light and no more stupid warning at start up.

I'm not sure on what MMI version I was before updating to 5570, but now connecting to the bluetooth is faster, and the only new thing I noticed (bluetooth related) is that now the car syncs my contacts from the phone (which is perfect). It doesn't sync the call history (dialed numbers, missed calls, received calls), but stores its own list (good enough)

Note: just remember to install CD2 twice in a roll, because otherwise the bluetooth won't work.
