Default Nice Grill

I love the car the chrome covers for the side mirrors and the grill are something i would definitely do. You got the satin black grille from dub auto right? Over all i like your obsession with wheels i think nice outfit deserves nice shoes!

Thanks for the props...as for the grille, I did as this thread: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a6-...l-fit-2842112/

BTW, it does require some modification and the use of an angle grinder to get it to fit. Furthermore, you will need to paint the metal bumper brace black, otherwise it will look strange behind the grille.

Default Brakes

Hey raj,

When you did the brakes and said to apply grease liberally. Where exactly do you apply the grease? My pads didn't seem to come with any...

You mentioned the hub once it is cleaned, and i'm guessing the back of the pads? anywhere else?

Thanks

Hi Drew
The grease was included in my akebono pads and applied on the pad surface that touches the caliper piston and the ends of the pads to reduce squeaks.

I used 2-3 coats of black spray paint, after I removed it...then I would also recommend adding a coat of clear protectant. As for the grille, I'm almost certain that all of the after market ones require some form of cutting. It's not that hard, but just be prepared for it.

Hey raj! Your car looks like a twin to mine: Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet. Mine was imported from the USA into Estern Europe (Bulgaria) so I'm a proud owner of a rare and decently loaded with options (for EU standards) A6 4.2 '05.
Can you post a video of the exhaust sound with the Magnaflow mufflers? You didn't replace the entire exhaust end to end, did you?

For a 10 year old car, every time I look at it, I'm still smitten.

BTW, did a little update, can you guys figure out from the pic?

Yep you got it, finally removed the orange side markers and replaced with clear ones...it looks MUCH more 'modern' and cleaner.
