possibly because the fiber being frozen is disrupting communications around the loop, or that module
is just too cold to operate properly...just guessing, but that's plausible to me.

Loud noise
Happened to my wife yesterday, a very cold day. She tried it several times but always got loud screech. Today it worked fine, even though it is a very cold day but a few degrees warmer than yesterday,

Nice to see I'm not the only one... my speakers crackle and pop for a few seconds every time the night gets below -15c (5F) it's loud and crappy...
