Default Full Service and Maintenance History

I am getting ready to end my 9 years with my beloved 05 A6 4.2. She currently has 139k on the odometer. In order to assist my fellow owners in understanding the potential maintenance and repair issues with these cars, I am posting most of my service records, including prices paid and what was covered under warranty. When I receive delivery information on my factory order 2015 A6 TDI I may post the 05 in the classifieds. She has had over $20,000 in repairs in the last 10,000 miles and is probably only worth $7,000 so she may be a steal for a forum member who is mechanically inclined. Of course my wife says I will never sell it. We will see. I have really enjoyed the forum. Thanks.

Kevin,

I, for one, will be sad to see you leave the C6 fold, but knowing that you are going to a better model and I'm sure you'll be just as active and engaged in the conversations in that forum, is great news.

You've been a great asset to a lot of us here and if you are really selling the car, lmk...a road trip from East to West over the summer may be quite the adventure.

Wow! With that meticulous maintenance, I would have purchased your car instead of the one I just bought. :-(

Thank you for the kind words. I will still be here for awhile. The Audi factory has agreed to install the S6 massaging seats in a A6 TDI even though it is not an official option. Unfortunately, it will take a while for the car to arrive in the states.

I will try and get you the paperwork. When I picked up the car this morning they only gave me a one page no charge invoice and threw the $4,500 multiple page invoice in the garbage and said it was covered under warranty! LOL

A full photo shoot of the car will be required for all of us to drool over. Lol. Can't wait to see those s6 seats on there as well. Must be quite the build.

I got all of the official options, except the B&O stereo because my ears are too old to tell the difference. The night vision looks pretty cool. Once it became a factory order car I have been trying to see how much unofficial stuff I can get Audi to put in the car.

wow that's insane how much repairs you put on your car compare to what I did. Did you had any oil leak over the years ?
